Fellowship Baptist Church is looking for a Next Generation Pastor. In consultation with the Pastor and appropriate leadership, a Next Generation Pastor plans, evaluates and coordinates all youth ministries. He will provide leadership for growth and direction of the youth group into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ through Bible teaching, mentorship and life example.

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide leadership and coordination for all youth ministries and youth related functions and activities.
- Responsible for the overall philosophy of our youth ministry.
- Create an environment of prayer, worship, and dependence.
- Develop a creative Biblical teaching ministry. Spend priority hours in lesson preparation each week.
- Create an atmosphere for acceptance and fellowship.
- Care for, spend time with, and disciple students from grades 7th through 12th.
- Responsible for recruiting, training, and maintaining an adequate staff of youth leaders.
- Train, equip, and encourage all youth volunteers who will minister to and disciple other students.
- Plan and direct youth fellowships, retreats, and mission trips, etc.
- Communicate effectively with parents about the ministry.
- Actively make an effort to ensure the growth and health of the ministry.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Possess a 4 year degree relating to ministry or an equivalent combination of training and applicable experience.
- 2 years of experience as a youth pastor (Preferred, but not neccessary).
- Must have strong and consistent personal relationship with Jesus Christ, have passion for teaching and leading students with the ability to build and maintain meaningful relationships within the youth ministry and church.
- Highly motivated to carry out vision of the student ministry.
- Proficient in music and leading of music programs is an additional consideration (Preferred)
- Must pass a background check.
